Vila Verde ((:ˈvilɐ ˈveɾð(ɨ))) is a municipality in the district of Braga in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 47,888,〔(Instituto Nacional de Estatística )〕 in an area of 228.67 km².〔(Direção-Geral do Território )〕 The present Mayor is António Vilela, elected by the Social Democratic Party. The municipal holiday is June 13.
